About

Pocket Arcade started as a group chat between three friends who kept sending each other links to weird little racing games. At some point we realised we had opinions, so we turned them into a website. Nothing fancy — just people who like fast, colourful games and want to save you a wasted download.

Everything you read here comes from real playtime. We install the game, we run through the first hour at minimum, and for the ones we like we stick around much longer. If a game annoyed us after ten minutes, we say so and explain why.

We pick games by a simple rule: does it work on a touchscreen, and is it fun on a short train ride? We cover racing and arcade first because that's our thing, but we branch into RPGs, strategy and simulation when something catches our eye.

No scores are handed out by mood. We compare, we argue, and the number you see is what survived the debate.
